JUST FOR BEING HUMANS
We wake up with high expectations, hoping light of day could mend our past mistakes, just for being humans.
We walk through streets with a giant smile to threaten any evil destiny upon us, just for being humans.
We claim to live in our own bubble of problems and selfish solitude, but when the time is near to face what is due to us or people we know, just for being humans, we cry and allow ourselves to feel.
To feel so much misery and so much pain, just for being humans.
Joy can show us the correct way, but doubt can always keep us company.
Just for being humans we can feel compassion and consternation about other people’s feelings. We can be so egocentric that we can focus on our only single way to say I love you, I forgive you, I beg your pardon. We can cry of both, sadness and happiness, and even at the same time, just for being humans.
Deep in each of us, the light of life shines and sparkles through our thoughts and actions. We get to be so complicated that simple acceptance of this is due a lot of hard inner work on personal emotions.
We can even try to hide from ourselves, just for being humans, or live to keep looking for the qualities we thought were lost somewhere and sometime.
Just for being humans we can find inspiration in cold weather or a dark lonely night and feel inactive in the wise light of the reborn morning. Ignorance is just the first way of just being human, and to be genius is a way of condemning oneself to the eternal certainty of how wrong the world really is.
Just for being humans we swallow our own apology in order to keep alive a poisoned Ego. Just for being humans we maximize our neighbor’s defects just to grow our qualities. But we do this, mostly in a conscious way and we are blind to see what we don’t want to see and deaf to hear what we can’t stand to hear, we can see that this is wrong and we can hear our own soul yell inside of us to feel each inch of it, just for being humans.
Just for being humans we say hello passing by, although we leave, and never have enough time to say goodbye because we are just arriving.
Life is just a sigh of grace in misfortune and ends when eternity is just beginning.
Just for being humans we pray each day could make us better, and the better the day gets, the less we pray for so.
Humans are only a complex riddle for the cold-minded destiny as destiny is a dramatic opera for hot-minded humans.
Just for being humans we can laugh about fortune and misfortune and not lose the clinic eye to separate each of them.
We laugh and sing for no reason indeed, just for being humans.
We think and write just for the pleasure of it, besides everything we write is only the expression of what is completely evident and wouldn’t need a written explanation at all to show its truth, but we are as we are…. Just for being humans.
